Psychological Testing

Psychological testing is a painless procedure that, in most instances, can be accomplished in a few hours. Psychological testing provides a relatively objective measurement of specific characteristics of a person. It can provide a clearer picture of someone's actual characteristics/problems/abilities in a numerical sense that can be communicated to doctors, government officials, and other people in a way that compares you to other people your age. Psychological testing can help clarify if someone has a learning disorder, Autism, ADHD, dementia, an intellectual disability, and a host of other psychological/neurological issues. A better understanding of a person's problems can often assist the individual get the specific help that they need to have a more full and happy life.

Psychological testing is often required to obtain certain government services, in court proceedings, and provide evidence of neurological impairment that doctors use to guide them in effective diagnosis and treatment. Psychological testing is not intended to substitute for clinical judgment and other information gathering techniques, and it is not indicated in all situations.
